The term education in this context center a journey of onesself rather than a formal schooling education. From the beginningpages of the book the idea of Elizabeth being the heroine isestablished. Since there are other themes of the novel, themes oflove, news report and class, it can be questioned as to whether thenovel is centred on the education of Elizabeth. Darcy is also a majorcharacter to the plot of the novel and contains the same faults asElizabeth so the book could be centred on his journey as well as hers.However, Elizabeths education in overcoming her obstacles is a verylong one compared to that of DarcysIn the first three pages of the novel the character of Elizabeth isdepicted as a very intell ectual character by her father. ..they are all ludicrous and ignorant like other girls but Lizzy hassomething more of a quickness than her sisters. 1It is clear that Austen introduces and forms such an impression ofElizabeth early in the novel in battle array to promptly get the reader intothe plot and communicate the heroine of the novel.
